Snickerdoodle Bread

The first time I made this bread I was a teenager. I was super bored and I googled the ingredients my mom had in her cabinet so I could make something yummy. I found this recipe and was completely amazed at how delightful it was! I absolutely loved it and have been making it regularly ever since.

It has a very mellow flavor that pleases most palates, plus it’s SUPER moist and almost impossible to mess up! It makes a perfect dessert, breakfast or snack for any season and will have people asking for your recipe.

Snickerdoodle Bread

1 cup butter

2 cups sugar

3 eggs

2 tsp vanilla

1 cup sour cream

2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

2 tsp cinnamon

2 1/2 cups flour

1 1/2 cups cinnamon chips

Set oven to 350 degrees. Grease 2 bread loaf pans. Cream butter & sugar. Add eggs, vanilla, & sour cream. Mix in flour, baking powder, salt & cinnamon. Stir in cinnamon chips. Pour dough in equal amounts into bread pans. In a separate bowl, combine sugar & cinnamon. Sprinkle on top of wet batter in each pan. Bake 60-70 minutes or until a knife inserted in the middle of the bread comes out clean.
